EFF Patent Busting
In an fantastic display of their freedom motivated spirit the EFF is going after the removal of several patents that are just to broad and vague to be issued to any one entity. Most of these are not just broad but also in existence and widely used prior to the patent application, making the attempt to patent them a ridiculous idea that would stifle creativity. Check it out for yourself and join the Patent Busting.

EOTS - End Of This Section
I left Fiserv in September and work for AgileTek Inc. now so there won't be any more eBankB0y. Thanks for reading it... I plan to leave it up but there won't be any new entries.

Network Solutions Wildcard SSL Cert
$495 per year for three years and it covers a whole domain. Sounds much better than $1585 for two years per server at Verisign. Verisign should take notice.

An attempted photo of the fountain past the next table.
It was very pretty, though the photo is rather poor.

Greek Food for lunch
Yesterday was a wonderful Thai cuisine lunch of shrimp in lobster sauce over jasmine rice. Today was an appetizer of Octupodi which is a tasty dish of char-broiled Octopus served with a broccolli tree, quarter tomato, and a half-lemon. Of course you always get some bites that are a bit difficult to chew but overall the dish was fantastic. I recommend a considerable amount of lemon juice for the squeamish.

Following up such an interesting appetizer was a main course of several really...

Two days (so far) at a bank downtown
This is a wonderful financial institution downtown Chicago that has a beautiful brick-and-mortar presence in one of the ethnic neighborhoods. The building is very old and very beautiful. Even the floors that are not currently being used contain a certain charm and mystique. There are awesome marble columns that reach to the roughly 30foot ceiling. A very charming building indeed.

Put em up, to take em down.
Was I testing the policy? Of course... I had had them up for the past 3 years in my various cubicles but each location was out of the range of normal visitor traffic. Now I am just around the corner from the entrance and that makes the difference. Am I irritated? Not in the least. I thought that it was funny...--------------------------------------------------Friday afternoon I put up my Spawn guys in my new cubicle just to be told to take them down again. They were the pretty ones too. Following...

Got to work a bit late today...
I am so tired lately. I need to find some way of getting more energy while not running myself ragged.

McAlisters Deli for lunch...
I had a greek chicken salad that was big enough to choke even the most hardy lettuce-eating horse. There was nothing exciting about it even though it was good. It was served with sweet-tea (romans and all that) and I enjoyed it more than a bag of chips.

Hanging out here in Orlando.
Had breakfast twice (once in the hotel restaurant and once at the Peach Leaf Cafe).

I am very bored now, there is little to learn that could not have gone into a how-to.

Leaving for Orlando...
Leaving for the airport in 20 minutes, which in Limo driver time is about 5 minutes from now (early bastards). I am going to miss my Poo, and my Boobear and even the fluff-me-stupid. Nervous? Yep. Why? No reason, always get shaky just before a jump... (RAH - Starship Troopers)

Todays eCash Meeting
Today @ 2:00pm we had an eCash update meeting at, where else, Starbucks across the street. I had an Iced Grande Xtra Xtra Carmel Machiatto. Very nice. I wish all meetings could go like that.

Moving my cubicle...
I am moving from the uber-secure keycard room to the commoners area with the rest of the CSS team. Not that I really care where i sit but they are noisy... (just too much going on all the time). I am finishing the move tomorrow.

Vitos for Dinner on Wednesday...
We went to Vitos Chophouse which is officially my favorite restaurant. I love the Filet Mignon stuffed with Gorgonzola cheese... Awesome.

The appetizer this time(a shrimp trio platter) left much to be desired but oh well...

Had Lunch at Kellers Smoked Bar-B-Q
This is the second time that while down here I had the "Pork Lunch" which consists of several odd slices of pork, baked beans, coleslaw, texas toast, and french [freedom] fries. We took Ed Morris and Cynthia Farina from the support group with us.

Is it wrong to blog your professional life?
I am really interested in how much I can and cannot say in this eBankB0y blog and at which point I will get into trouble. I know that there is an NDA (Non-disclosure agreement) that everyone signs but still there is that desire to substantiate your professional existence and bl0g it!!!

Welcome to the eBank B0y Blog
I read something in Harvard Business Review that inspired me to create an entry for blogging about my experiences with eBanking and the care and feeding as well as improvement of the Fiserv product eCash for several Fiserv clients. This blog will include entries related to myself as well as my thoughts on improving the product and revamping the way things are developed within it. I also intend to include schtuff about my attempts to inspire change within the development process and the service bureau...
